Nexus
System constellation browser
1. Purpose
Essence: Filter by domain, inspect roles and essences
System Role: Nexus serves as System constellation browser within the ETHRAEON constitutional AI governance framework.
2. Inputs & Outputs
Inputs
- Pre-Authorized Requests: All inputs must be authorized by human authority (AC-1) or pre-approved rules
- System Data: Receives data from connected systems within ETHRAEON constellation
- Configuration: Constitutional rules and governance constraints
Outputs
- System Responses: Deterministic outputs based on constitutional rules
- Evidence Chains: Immutable logs in Canon registry
- Status Reports: Operational status and health metrics
3. Authority Boundary
4. Evidence Produced
Nexus produces the following evidence types, all logged in Canon:
- Execution Traces: Complete record of all operations performed
- Input/Output Logs: All data received and produced
- Authority Validations: Proof of human authorization for each action
- Boundary Checks: Verification that operations stayed within authority limits
- Timestamps: Cryptographic timestamps for all events
Evidence location: Canon Evidence Registry
5. Governance Constraints
Nexus operates under the following constitutional constraints:
- Human Authority Absolute: All operations require explicit or pre-authorized human approval
- Deterministic Execution: No emergent behavior, all outputs traceable to rules
- Evidence Chain Mandatory: Every action logged in immutable Canon
- Fail-Safe Design: System halts on uncertainty rather than guessing
- Override Ready: Human can override any operation at any time
Full governance policy: AI Governance Policy
6. Failure Modes
How Nexus Fails Safely:
- Halt on Uncertainty: If inputs are ambiguous, system halts and requests human clarification
- Boundary Violation: If operation would exceed authority, system halts immediately
- Evidence Failure: If Canon logging fails, system halts (cannot operate without evidence)
- Configuration Error: If constitutional rules are inconsistent, system refuses to start
Critical: Nexus is designed to fail safely. It will NOT attempt to "work around" failures or make autonomous recovery decisions.
7. Human Oversight
Monitoring
- Real-Time Dashboard: Operational status visible at Operations Dashboard
- Canon Inspection: All evidence chains reviewable by AC-1
- Alert System: Anomalies flagged for immediate human review
Override Mechanisms
- Immediate Halt: AC-1 can halt system at any time
- Rule Override: AC-1 can override any system output
- Configuration Change: AC-1 can modify constitutional rules (logged in Canon)
Authority
Root Authority: AC-1 (Jason Prohaska)
Delegated Authority: None (all authority retained by AC-1)
8. Status: live
Nexus is LIVE. This system is operational and processing requests within constitutional constraints.
- Operational: Accepting authorized inputs
- Evidence Logging: All actions logged to Canon
- Monitored: Real-time oversight active
- Override Ready: Human authority can intervene at any time
